Alpha Machining Inc. was founded in 2003 as a father-son endeavor by Jeff Thompson, who has over twenty years of machining experience. Jeff started machining when he was eighteen, and has continued non-stop ever since.

What are we capable of at Alpha Machining?

At Alpha Machining, we will engineer, program, and machine your part in the material that you need, whether it be a plastic or a metal. We can work with quantities from one to one thousand plus. Our machine assortment includes two wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) machines, a CNC screw-type lathe, with 160 inch bar feed, a manual lathe, a manual milling machine, and in the near future, a CNC milling machine. We can have your part sandblasted or rock polished if you would desire, as well.

Our maximum part size depends upon the machine used. On the lathe, material up to two inches can be used. If your part requires the use of the wire EDM machine, we can work with a cutting envelope of up to 20" x 14" x 8 " (x, y, z). We can work with a multitude of sizes on the mill, although establishing set maximum values is difficult. If you want to know if we can manufacture your part, simply contact us.

What are the benefits of using a small shop over a large one?

When using a small shop like Alpha Machining, you can get more personalized care than one would get with a larger shop. With a shop like Alpha, the person that you do business with is the same person making the part, so you know that important details such as tolerences and measurements will not be glazed over. We hold our customers in the utmost of importance, so you can be confident that we will complete the product exactly how you want to. If you are not satisfied, we will work with you until you have exactly what you desire.

If you are a local customer (in the Jacksonville area), we can take the hassle out of delivery. You will not have to worry about the possibility of damage or delay that can be caused by shipping, as we can deliver it ourselves to you. If you are not a local customer, we will work with you to ensure that the product is received intact and when you want it, and no matter how far away your destination is, you are still just a shipment away.
